Clay and Experimental materials are my preferred mediums. Clay brings out the natural spontaneity of form. I never have to plan for it, it just happens intuitively. It is an easy material to channel into. Accelerate is an example of the freedom of clay. The salt fire finish is the chance of hit or miss, as you never know how it will turn out.

I leave the rest open. Whatever needs to come together into something, is what I use. When I created The Hayburner, it was a logical choice to you bailing twine from hay bales that horses would eat. For Snapshot, I photographed every inch of my horse, then pasted actual photographic prints over the fiberglass model.
